Born in Monaco in 1978, this local chef quickly developed a taste for cooking, discovering a real passion for it.
A graduate of the hotel management school in Monaco and a Mediterranean at heart, Eric Guillemaud is above all steeped in the cuisine and culture of the south, rich in colour and originality.
Eric was trained within the Monte-Carlo SBM group: first at the school of traditional cuisine at the Hôtel de Paris before moving on to the healthful cuisine of L’Hirondelle, the restaurant at the Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo.
He then went on to perfect his skills in two luxury hotels: the 5-star Grand Hôtel Park in Gstaad, renowned for its refined gastronomy, and the Résidence de la Pinède (2 stars in the Michelin Guide), a prestigious exotic destination.
Out of love for his region and keen to share his wealth of experience, Eric will be returning to Monaco to exercise his talents at Sporting Monte-Carlo and in the restaurants of the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
When Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo opened, he was put in charge of the restaurant's kitchens and revealed his culinary personality. Eric’s goal is to offer an exciting and contemporary update of “nouvelle cuisine”, with carefully balanced dishes that will delight both taste buds and eyes alike.
